As employees become eligible to complete surveys, they'll receive a notification from WorkStep letting them know a survey is available for them to complete, which links out to a webpage presenting them with questions. The following sections will outline the employee experience once they access their survey.
Survey Appearance
Company Branding
By default, all surveys and their associated notifications will include your organization's logo. To incorporate a new logo into the employee experience, reach out to your Customer Success Consultant.
Language Availability
Employees will have the ability to choose a preferred language when they receive their first survey. Clicking the globe icon in the top right corner of their survey page will unravel a dropdown menu from which they can choose from the following languages:
- English
- Spanish
- French
- Portuguese
- Vietnamese
- Korean
- Mandarin - Simplified
- Cantonese - Logographic
- Tagalog
- S'gaw Karen
- Punjabi
Once the language of preference has been selected, all future surveys will be sent in their language of choice, and can be updated at any time.
Completing Surveys
Overview
Most questions presented to employees are answered using the Likert scale ("Strongly Agree" to "Strongly Disagree"). This allows respondents to complete their surveys more quickly without compromising the quality of their answers. Milestone surveys typically take 3-5 minutes to complete, though depending on the number and type of questions included in a survey, this could vary.
If an employee is interrupted while completing their survey, answers submitted up until that point are still recorded, allowing the employee to pick up where they left off once they return. Once answers are recorded, employees won't be able to edit their responses. Employees will be able to skip questions, which won't record a particular answer choice, but will mark the question as complete.
Comments
Some questions will allow and encourage respondents to submit open-text feedback called "comments", either to supplement their answer choice or to complete open-ended questions. Comments are reviewed by the WorkStep system to escalate ones that may contain urgent or sensitive content. As comments are reviewed, they will appear in-platform for users on the Communication page.
Bright™ Prompts
In instances where an employee has composed a comment that doesn't provide quite enough detail, our Bright™ Prompts feature will ask the employee to add more context or provide more information. Additional context offered in response to our prompt will appear in-platform for users as one single comment.
